The just-announced sequel pilot to the CW's The 100 stars Adain Bradley (ex-Xander Avant, The Bold and the Beautiful), who will become a series regular if the project gets picked up.

The Bold and the Beautiful's Adain Bradley (ex-Xander Avant) is blasting off to the future in the CW sequel pilot for The 100.

The original series follows a group of post-apocalyptic survivors, largely a group of criminal adolescents, who are among the first people from a space habitat, the Ark, to return to Earth after a devastating nuclear apocalypse. Bradley's untitled sequel pilot will begin 97 years before the events of the original series. It starts with the end of the world -- a nuclear apocalypse that wipes out most of the human population on Earth -- and follows a band of survivors on the ground as they learn to cope in a dangerous world while fighting to create a new and better society from the ashes of what came before.

Iola Evans has been cast as Callie, a whip-smart and passionate girl with a rebellious streak. Callie has spent years ignoring expectations in order to fight for the causes in which she believes. But when the apocalypse devastates the world she had been working so hard to save, Callie must find a new purpose and future for all that remains of humanity.

Bradley will portray Callie's brother, Reese. Hardworking and headstrong, Reese has spent a lifetime in fierce competition with his beloved sister. But when the opportunity to finally prove his worth comes with an incredible cost, Reese must figure out what lines he is willing to cross to finally come out on top.

According to Deadline, both Evans and Bradley have series-regular options to return if the CW pilot is picked up to series.

Bradley took on the role of B&B's Xander in 2018. He began to air less frequently in 2019 and had fans in a panic when he made an "I ain't got no job" post on Instagram. He later clarified his social media post, insisting that he hadn't been fired from B&B and was still happily attached to the show. Unfortunately, viewers have rarely seen Xander on-screen since that time, so it's anybody's guess as to whether or not he'll be back to the CBS soap opera.

Though he hasn't been working much at B&B, Bradley has kept himself busy with other projects. He most recently wrapped the leading role in Constantin Film's upcoming feature Wrong Turn: The Foundation and next will be seen in the indie feature Butter, alongside Mira Sorvino.
