The Bold and the Beautiful fans have been wondering why Karla Mosley's Maya Avant hasn't been seen on-screen much in recent weeks, but there's a good reason for her absence: the actress just gave birth to her first baby!
As any proud momma would do, Mosley took to Twitter to share photos of the stunningly beautiful baby girl after Soap Opera Digest broke the news about the little bundle of joy. Mosley and her partner John Rogers named the their daughter Aurora Imani Mosley Rogers. The bundle of joy, who was born at home, weighed in at 8.1 lbs. and measured 22 inches long.
"Welcome Aurora Imani," Mosley wrote. "Mom and dad couldn't be more proud of you. She brings the Light, she walks with Faith."
Seems the word is trickling out. Welcome Aurora Imani! Mom and dad couldn't be more proud of you. (Born at home on 8/17 at 12:29a. 8.1 lbs, 22 inches. Already posing.) She brings the Light, she walks with Faith. ?? pic.twitter.com/rS1nlS2ZiF

Mosley, who also played Guiding Light's Christina Moore Boudreau, recently shared that when B&B went on its summer hiatus, she would be extending the time to start her maternity leave. That hasn't stopped many viewers from questioning her absence, however.
In fact, when one curious fan asked Jacob Young if Maya would be disappearing from the canvas much like his alter ego/Maya's husband Rick Forrester has done, he said it appears that will be the case.
Would you like to leave a congratulatory message for Mosley? How do you feel about the way B&B dealt with her pregnancy and necessary absence from the screen? Would you have preferred that the writers handled it differently?
