Soap fans often ask if any of the stars have their real-life children play their reel-life kids. Typically, the answer is no. But for one star of The Bold and the Beautiful, nearly every day is "Bring Your Child To Work Day."
Emmy winner Heather Tom (Katie Logan) revealed via Twitter that her four-month-old son, Zane, will now be playing her make-believe son on B&B.
"Zane's going to play Will," Tom revealed. "He loves hanging ar[ou]nd the set w/ everyone so why not? Watch him have a total melt down as soon as they yell action."
Tom also praised her on-screen hubby, Don Diamont (Bill Spencer), on his interaction with Zane.
"Don is awesome with him. He has 6 boys so he should know what he's doing," Tom added.
After Zane's first close-up, Tom headed back to social media to give fans the details.
"He just had his first shot -- my son smiled on cue," Tom wrote, adding that co-star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) got to hold Zane. "He's a flirt just like his TV dad!"
Tom joined The Bold and the Beautiful in 2007. The actress made her daytime television debut in 1991, and enjoyed a 12-year run on CBS's top-rated soap, The Young and the Restless, as Victoria Newman. In 2003, Tom jumped ship to ABC's One Life to Live and assumed the role of Kelly Cramer.
In 2012, Tom became the first performer to win Daytimne Emmys in all three "divisions" of the acting categories -- Lead Actress, Supporting Actress, and Younger Actress.
Zane's first on-screen appearance is scheduled to air on April 17.
