Congratulations goes out to As the World Turns actress Maura West (Carly Tenney). The Emmy-winning actress and her husband, Scott DeFreitas (ex-Andy Dixon) welcomed a baby girl, their fourth child.
The couple named the baby Birdie West DeFreitas. She weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz and measured 20 inches long. "Mom and baby are doing great," a spokesperson reports.
Martha Byrne (Andrea Floyd, General Hospital; ex-Lily Snyder, ATWT) congratulated her former co-star on Facebook with a posting that read, "Congrats Maura and Scott on their baby girl!!" Meanwhile Cady McClain (Rosanna Cabot) tweeted the good tidings, "Maura had her baby!!! A beautiful little girl."
Little Birdie joins Joseph, 8; Katherine, 7; Basil, 2; and Benjamin, 12, from West's first marriage.
West joined the cast of As the World Turns in 1995. The past decade has been incredibly successful for the actress. She's been pre-nominated for a Daytime Emmy every year since 2001, four of which turned into full-fledged nominations. In 2007, West earned her very first Emmy trophy, a win that many pundits believed was long overdue.
