After four-and-a-half years away from Oakdale, actor Paolo Seganti (Damian Grimaldi) will be making a homecoming to As the World Turns later this spring.
It has widely been speculated that As the World Turns execs were interested in having Damian return to Oakdale for some time. With Damian's son, Luke, coming out as gay, it seemed natural that the show might want to explore the relationship between father and son in some detail. Damian has not been much of a part of his son's life, having left Luke to be raised by the Snyders when he had to flee town due to the dangerous nature of some of his business associates.
Seganti originate the role of Damian in 1993. He remained with the show as a contract player through 1996 before leaving to pursue other opportunities. Seganti returned to the show part-time for special appearances in 1997 and 2001. His last on-screen appearance was September 25, 2001.
A spokesperson for As the World Turns says that Seganti will first air on May 25th.
