Congratulations are in order for singer/actor Jesse McCartney (Adam Chandler Jr., All My Children) and his bride, actress Katie Peterson. The couple recently tied the knot in a ceremony, surrounded by 147 guests at the Saint Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California. Peterson's uncle married the couple, who also wrote their own marriage vows. Serving as the flower girl was McCartney and Peterson's dog, Bailey.
When describing how he would feel on the big day, McCartney tells People, "I cry watching a Subaru commercial. That kind of sums it up for you. So, I don't know how I'm going to get through this... I get dewy, as they say."
The bride walked down the aisle to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" with a Fionna Floral bouquet of dusty rose-colored roses, eucalyptus, dusty miller, and green filler while wearing a Galia Lahav couture gown and champagne-colored Jimmy Choos. The groom was dressed in a Brioni tuxedo with mother-of-pearl cuff links and a cream-colored shirt. During the reception, which took place in a rustic barn-like structure, the newlyweds danced to Taylor Swift's "Lover."
The couple had been dating since 2012 and got engaged in the Fall of 2019 when McCartney proposed at the CUT by Wolfgang Puck at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Los Angeles
McCartney is best known to daytime fans for his three-year stint as J.R. Chandler (though, at the time, the character went by A.J.) on ABC's All My Children. He also appeared on the WB's Summerland, ABC Family's Greek, and in the film Chernobyl Diaries. He has also lent his voice talents to the Kingdom Hearts video game series, as the voice of JoJo McDodd in Horton Hears a Who!, and as the voice of Theodore in the live-action Alvin and the Chipmunks film series. In 2020, he appeared as the Turtle and finished as runner-up on season three of Fox's The Masked Singer.
On October 8, 2021, he released his fifth studio album called New Stage. His North American tour, which was to take place this November, has been postponed until Spring 2022. For more information about his music and upcoming tour, visit jessemccartney.com
