Congratulations are in order for former All My Children actress Alicia Minshew (ex-Kendall Hart), who has become the very first actor to sign on to Year Rounders, the soon-to-launch soap opera on the upcoming Internet soap network SudsvilleTV.
The Florida native will be playing Georgina Phillips, who's described as a "slightly tarnished trophy wife with a bad pre-nup."
Series creator Meg Kelly, who's written for Days of our Lives and One Life to Live, teases that Minshew will be sporting a completely different look for the role. "Nothing like an orange tan and a blonde wig to age a woman," she jokes.
As Soap Central previously reported, Year Rounders is SudsvilleTV's flagship show and will air on the upcoming network on Thursdays starting in December. Other actors who have been in talks to possibly join the series include Beth Chamberlin (ex-Beth Raines Spaulding, Guiding Light), Orlagh Cassidy (ex-Doris Wolfe, GL), and Darnell Williams (ex-Jesse Hubbard, AMC).
