It's been two months since Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery) and Emmy winner Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) exited the All My Children canvas, but the popular pair will soon be back in Pine Valley.

But viewers will have to wait about another month to see the return on-screen.

Jack and Erica were ushered off screen in mid-July for a pre-wedding honeymoon in order to facilitate Lucci's annual summer vacation. While Lucci has typically taken some time off during the summer months, this year's vacation was the actress' longest break to date. Show sources tell Soap Central that ABC offered Lucci a longer vacation as part of All My Children's move to Los Angeles.

Lucci is also hard at work on a planned tell-all memoir. The yet-untitled book chronicle the highs and lows of Lucci's time in the public eye.

Lucci and Willey will make their return on October 6.
