Kimberly McCullough will reprise multi Emmy award winning role as Robin Scorpio this week on All My Children. If you're a long-time viewer and don't recall a character named Robin Scorpio, you haven't missed a thing. Robin is a character from ABC's General Hospital.
Soap Central first confirmed that Robin was coming to town back in April. A rumor of Robin's imminent arrival had been circulating for weeks. After all, McCullough played Anna Devane's daughter on General Hospital for many years. Now that Anna (played by Finola Hughes) has showed up in Pine Valley, it seemed to make sense that Robin might show up too.
McCullough appeared on General Hospital for 13 years, starting in 1985 and ended in 1998, with about a one-year hiatus in 1996. McCullough left GH because she wanted to attend college on the East Coast. Since GH is filmed in Los Angeles, it made it impossible for McCullough to tape her GH scenes and attend classes.
According to an AMC insider, it is possible that Robin could return in the future. The door has been left open for such a return, according to Jean Dadario Burke, AMC's executive producer.
McCullough will appear in four AMC episodes, beginning May 30th. For those of you wanting a little something to remember this appearance by -- and we usually do not promote other soap opera institutions -- pick up a copy of Soap Opera Digest [June 5 edition]. There is an absolutely beautiful cover photo of Finola Hughes (Anna and Alex) with Kimberly.
